Cats, crafts, and kids

At our house we do get a number of boxes. As I mentioned in the cats and boxes article, our guys just love to play, and lay in or on the boxes. Eventually these boxes end up getting recycled over time.
There is another fun element that occurs occasionally. Our eight year old grandson loves to modify some of these boxes to make them into personalized cat condos. He will come up with designs use markers and pencils. My wife will help him with the cutting part of the design and VIOLA! a new stylish adventure awaits the cats.
This looks cute, but I am guessing that Squish is trying to “encourage” Sissy to relocate so Squish can enjoy the inside of the condo for herself.
It’s amazing when my grandson is done with one of his creations the cats just flock to them like they know that this box is very special.
Murphy, Squish, and Dexter are really the only cats that will hang out in the same area as Oliver. Squish and Dexter don’t really care about Oliver’s reputation and will give any sass right back to him. Murphy goes pretty much anywhere anytime since he is kind of like Switzerland because he is mostly neutral… until he’s NOT! He is Siamese after all. Nobody is really sure when Mount Murphy will erupt and start whacking on whomever is closest. This does keep things exciting though.
Squish is trying to impress her cat buddies with her version of the “slight of hand er paw” trick. Always cute.
As you can see there are a lot of cat options when it comes to boxes. Why not get a few more miles out of them before they hit the recycle bin?
