Is this Really Being Helpful?

I have seen stories and videos where a cat woke up the family because the house was on fire or a cat runs off a dog who was attacking a toddler in their front yard, and a cat that stopped and redirected a crawling baby away from the top of the stairs. A dog runs back into a burning house and runs out with a kitten in its mouth. So many awesome and heroic feats of bravery and sacrifice that often bring a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat.

This is the kind of stuff our pets do to “help” at our house:

OH NO! Somebody might trip and fall on this huge whole in the floor!

I guess their hearts… er paws are in the right place…right? It’s always good to see the cats and dogs working together.
