Oliver…Is he a cat or a shark? Or maybe a dog?

Oliver has a little different way of expressing himself. This often involves destruction…with his teeth. Dogs love chewing. They love chewing on bones, chew toys, sometimes, shoes, furniture etc.
Oliver loves to chew on paper grocery bags, the thick plastic safety rings for vitamin bottles, and his favorite cardboard. Now usually the carboard is a thinner amazon box type, but sometimes we get more heavy duty boxes like from Costco. Even though the cardboard is much thicker than usual, Oliver is up to the challenge as you will now see. WARNING these images are graphic and may make some people woozy, especially if any viewers have ever been attacked by a shark or watched a scary shark movie.
Oliver enjoys this behavior immensely. I think he does it because he gets bored because he is VERY smart, he gets a kick out of scaring the other cats, and he likes to mark his territory. He will also do this type of thing when he gets in trouble or has the urge to stalk another cat and doesn’t want to succumb to the dark side (for the moment anyway). I think he also does this behavior because he is a cat and let’s face it. Cats do some crazy stuff.
We try to make sure he always has at least one of these items available just in case he has the urge to go Great White on somebody. If you liked this post check out my posts on Boxes and Cats Brown Bagging It.
