What Our Cats Have Been Doing Differently During the Pandemic

This is part of a new series we are doing highlighting some of the unique behavior that we have seen from our cats during the pandemic. This will be the topic on multiple posts so please check back frequently.

Well there was that whole toilet paper shortage thing.
Squish is very sorry…or is she?

Ok I admit it we wasted some toilet paper. Squish was able to get under my sink and have a little party. Since a couple of smaller rolls were now unusable I decided what the heck and let her have fun with them. At least that’s the story we’re going with…

Our cats also came up with some eerily familiar games to help occupy the time during lockdown and quarantine.

Have you ever seen a dog playing Twister and with cats no less?
Oliver and Squish playing their version of Battleship.

Some of our cats decided to help out with daily chores around the house. I wish we could get our kids to pitch in like this.

Ruby waiting for the next load or maybe she thinks this is a spaceship?
Monkey checking on the dishwasher.
They would even help with making meals. So thoughtful!

I don’t know about you, but it sure is nice when others do the cooking for a change.

If only Oliver could read the instructions.

Some meals were a total surprise. We never realized Oliver was so gifted in the kitchen. Of course we always made sure there was a roller brush handy when setting the table. It’s not like we are barbarians or uncivilized or anything like that.

Ruxin just finished packing my lunch for work. Hope it’s not tuna salad AGAIN.

Our cats have been so helpful, supportive and resourceful during this tough time. Other examples of this we will see in future articles include: working out, becoming foodies, putting on a play and other crazy antics you will find fun, entertaining, and maybe a little scary.

See you next time.
