Welcome to a new series: Ever Had One of Those Days? Cats have several personality traits that are like their human owners. One of these traits is that cats can have off days just like we do.

Ruby trying to figure out how this cat bed thing works

Here is Ruby as a little kitten. She is sleepy and wants to take a comfy cat nap. Unfortunately, for some reason poor Ruby misses the target! Her little head is nowhere near the soft bed. She only has her right arm to cushion her face as she sleeps. Now in true Ruby form she is too lazy to fix her situation and chooses to just ride it out and sleep like this. I was torn between disturbing her and moving her into the bed or letting her continue as is dead to the world.

I’m sure we can all identify with her situation. You have a perfect day or event planned and despite your best efforts you just miss the mark and end up with an “off” misadventure. Hopefully, Ruby won’t end up with a stiff neck later. I know I would.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check back often to see other cats in human-like situations.
